Background Dancer for Jordana’s “Go Slow” music video.
"Waiting in the Wings," an original contemporary dance work choreographed by Larry Keigwin, is a journey through the eyes of a dancer from the street to the dressing room, to warming up backstage to the full stage experience. It is performed by senior contemporary dance students from the School of Dance, with a crew of Filmmaking and Design & Production students, faculty, staff, and alumni.
“It’s a journey that the audience watches from the perspective of the dancer, but also from the voyeuristic perspective as well. We’ve been missing the theater for the past year and I hope that the audience feels a sense of anticipation and excitement,” says Keigwin.
Guest artist and former School of Dance choreographic resident Ja’ Malik worked with contemporary students during a winter workshop to create a new work.
Choreography by Ja' Malik, Music “Counting in C” (Jad Abumrad remix), Lighting by Brent LaFever, Cinematography and Editing by Willow Longbrake, and featuring fourth-year contemporary dancers.
